Peggy Hinkle was a tremendous resource to our family and to me, after the birth of our twin boys. She provided both postpartum night doula services and lactation consulting. She was really supportive, resourceful, thoughtful, organized and warm. She was wonderful with our little ones and taught me a lot as a new first time mom. She also helped to re-charge me and my family when we needed it most.  Peggy also helped me through some really tough times with nursing. I was really intimidated at first to tandem feed my babies, but I was up around the clock feeding then individually. Peggy helped me with new feeding positions and getting comfortable with feeding them together, which increased my confidence with nursing and helped me get more sleep.  … My boys just turned two and I am still nursing them today, as a supplement to the many solid foods they eat. None of this would have been possible without Peggy. Thank you Peggy!

When we knew we were having twins our doctor recommended that we invest in a post-partum doula to help us get set up when we got home. It was the best investment we made and we are still thankful.

After a 5 days in the hospital, it is difficult to come home with little to no help so a post-partum doula is a must. Peggy came 4 hours a day for the first week and the 8 hours a week for an additional month. This time allowed us a break from the babies so that we could go outside and get some air and just relax. She is mental peace of mind.

Peggy is very compassionate and attentive. The first few days she helped me through my edema by massaging my legs and suggesting certain foods to eat. She was very attentive not only to the babies, but to me – which is what I needed- to help me recover. She also showed us how to give the babies their first baths and how to keep them comfy during the day. She offered to make food for me and did light house work like laundry and dishes. She also picked us up food at the grocery store. This was a lifesaver!

Peggy comes with a lot of information and experience. She takes her job very seriously – every day she would come with articles to read, tips and tricks, names of groups to join and she even taught me how to make a DIY breast pump bra made from an old sports bra. We didn’t hire her as a lactation consultant however she did have some great advice for us. I am still able to breast feed my babies today (they are 9 months old as I am writing this review) thanks to her tips. She was such a great coach to me because breast feeding twins is not easy. She kept up my morale and was very encouraging. I highly recommend Peggy as a post-partum doula.
